Misty Mt Shelties

		Meet Abigail Chidester (Abbey) who just turned 14 on March 12th. She is the most wonderful granddaughter anyone could ask for and I am so proud of her!! She grew up with Shelties but not until she was 9 years old did she decide she had the confidence to give the showring a go. Abbey is incredibly bright and I found I only had to show her something once and then she had it, she worked on it, perfected it and went for the win!! Abbey is home schooled and excels in her studies which allows her the time to participate in other activities as well as train and groom the dogs too. She also has a lovely voice and sings wth Praise team at church as well as also being an actress with Narroway Christian Productions (www.narroway.net) where she is quite a talented performer! We were also proud of her amazing win at the Greenville, SC show in 2009 when Abbey won BEST JR HANDLER IN SHOW competing against 40 Jrs. and she came from the novice class!!!

In April of 2009, we attended the American Shetland Sheepdog National Specialty that lasted a week in Perry, GA. Abbey took 2nd place Jr in a huge competitive Jr's group of talented young handlers. Amazingly, for the first time ever showing our new Champion Heatherland's Analyze This "Logan". We are so proud of Abbey's accomplishments in the showring!! Watch for Abbey in upcoming shows with Logan. It's taken a while to put this page together because Abbey never likes any of her photos, I think she's darling so here they are anyway!!

		Here's young Abbey with "Jonah" our promising show prospect that ended up well trained and .......oversized! Back to the drawing board, so it goes with too many gorgeous Shelties!!! Just 1/4 inch over the chart and a gorgeous young show prospect becomes an instant pet for some lucky family! Below you can watch a slideshow of young handler Abbey growing up as she show the Shelties! One of my favorite photos of Abbey showing her Sheltie is when she went in against a ring full of professional handlers with her being not only a child but the only non professiional. She confidently held her own, I was so proud of her..politics doesn't bother her in the least!! We expect great things from Abbey in the years to come!!!
