Misty Mount Shelties

Meet our dear friend June Evans who owns 3 Misty Mt Shelties and is now a trusted member of our team! I met June when she contacted me seeking a very special Sheltie companion. She was quite detailed in what she was searching for , she told me I was the 17th breeder she had contacted. I told her I had a special little boy that might match her requirements. June said when she met him she knew her search had ended and she named him Lad. Together , June and Lad have accomplished quite a bit in many venues. Lad earned his UKC Championship title then went on to train in Rally and earned his excellent title. Herding was next and it became apparent that together there was nothing the two of them could not do. He also became therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International and through much dedication and commitment, Lad has earned next to the highest Therapy title that TDI bestows for hundreds of therapy visits to hospitals and nursing homes .
Seen here with June is Lad's daughter Chase who has learned Rally and Agility but now it's apparent that she is a Herding prodigy!!! The instructor said she had never seen any dog with such instincts for herding than her, good thing June's friend Meagan has some sheep!

Chase exits the tunnel at an Agility trial.

This is Lad, who is one of our most accomplished family members!!! Beauty, Brains, Compassion and Skill, what more can we ask? We are so proud of Lad and June's accomplishments. June, your commitment to your dogs and community goes unmatched!

We were proud of Lad's debut in the Sheltie Calendar as the August dog herding sheep. Now you know where Chase get's her instincts!

Lad is also involved in the Reading to Rover program in the elementary schools where he patiently sits and listens to children read to him, he's a good actor too!! LOL! With the opening of the New Children's hospital in Concord, Lad is working with Autistic children too! Now you know why Lad is so special to all of us!!!
Meet June's newest family member, German Shepherd puppy Zenyatta, pictured here at only 8wks. Yes, my friends that means she will easily be over 100 pounds of safety, security and companionship! So far, she is smart and sweet and learning quickly.
